20 Qualities The Person You’re Going To Marry Should Have | Elite Daily

I thought this was interesting enough to share:
While we may not know who exactly we are going to marry, as fully developed, young adults, we have a pretty good idea of the qualities we’re looking for in a partner. This isn’t a little girl’s “Prince Charming” wish list.

“We cannot trust” Intel and Via’s chip-based crypto, FreeBSD developers say

I thought this was interesting enough to share:
Developers of the FreeBSD operating system will no longer allow users to trust processors manufactured by Intel and Via Technologies as the sole source of random numbers needed to generate cryptographic keys that can’t easily be cracked by government spies and other adversaries.

This is what a high speed turn in a US Navy destroyer looks like

I thought this was interesting enough to share:
I love this photo by U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Shane A. Jackson: sailors standing aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Bulkeley during a turn at full speed.

25 Things You Keep In Your Life That Are Only Holding You Back

I thought this was interesting enough to share:
1. The phone numbers of people that never, ever call you or text you first, and often don’t even respond when you text them. 2.

Ref made to look an idiot after punishing players for touching moment

I thought this was interesting enough to share:
The phrase “this match had everything” is bandied around all too often any time more than two goals go in. But we’ll forgive anyone using it to describe the Saudi Arabian top flight clash between Al Nahdha and Al Ittihad on Thursday.

Captain Justice Responds to Government’s Motion to Ban the Word “Government”

I thought this was interesting enough to share:
This excellent pleading has been making the rounds (I saw it here) over the last couple of days, but I couldn’t find a signed copy and so I haven’t posted it yet because of this ridiculous issue I have with verifying information.

Apple hides a Patriot-Act-busting “warrant canary” in its transparency report

I thought this was interesting enough to share:
The Patriot Act provides for secret warrants to spy on ISPs’ customers. These “Section 215” warrants come with gag orders that mean that the company can’t disclose their existence. This lack of transparency is ripe for abuse and is bad for ISPs’ business.
